David R. Kiger, President/CEO
Mr. David Kiger was the founder of Worldwide Express and began its operations in Houston, TX with $5,000, a spare bedroom and a business plan. He has led Worldwide Express since its inception, overseeing all aspects of the business including the strategic and tactical vision that has enabled the company to become the largest reseller of small package services in the US. Mr. Kiger was also the principal architect of the recapitalization of Worldwide Express with Allied Capital (ALD) which was completed in August of 2007.
Prior to launching Worldwide Express, Mr. Kiger was with the Trammell Crow Company in Houston, Texas where he was responsible for commercial retail marketing and leasing. Before joining Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Kiger was employed by Baxter Healthcare, a Fortune 100 healthcare company based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Kiger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama. Mr. Kiger also serves on the Board of Directors and owns the CBD franchise in Dallas, Texas.
Tom Madine, COO
Tom Madine joined Worldwide Express in 1997 as a franchise owner. He owns numerous franchises locations throughout the Midwest and his franchise group is consistently recognized as one of the top performers in the system. He brought his extensive knowledge of franchising and real-world experience as a Worldwide Express franchisee to the Corporate office in early 2006.
As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Madine is responsible for overseeing the business operations of Worldwide Express.
Prior to joining Worldwide Express, Mr. Madine had an extensive sales career with Allnet Communications, a nationwide provider of telecommunications services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Robert Rose Jr., CFO
Rob Rose joined the Worldwide Express family in 2001 as a franchise owner in Atlanta, GA, and has made subsequent acquisitions in Atlanta and Richmond, VA. His franchise group has earned recognition for top tier growth multiple times and that has afforded him the opportunity to serve as a member and past president of the WWE Franchise Advisory Council. He has significant experience in negotiating and closing both acquisition and working capital financing.
Mr. Rose brings an extensive sales and financial background to Worldwide Express. Prior to joining the company, he was employed by Sprint as a Regional VP of Sales in the E|Solutions group and held the same position earlier with Qwest Communications in Denver. Mr. Rose began his career as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand in Richmond, VA. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Mike Grayson, Vice President, Franchise Operations
Mike Grayson began his career at Worldwide Express as a franchise owner in Atlanta, Georgia in 2003. Since then, his organization has grown to include five additional markets in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Grayson has served in myriad capacities inside the franchise system including President of the Franchise Advisory Council from 2005-2007.
In May 2008 he joined the corporate office, serving as Vice President of Franchise Operations. Mr. Grayson came to Worldwide Express from DMG Properties, an Athens, Georgia real estate development and management firm he helped co-found. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and an MA degree at Georgia State University.
